FAQ

  • An engineer/producer is the backbone of every smooth recording session. While you’re focused on the conversation, they’re focused on everything else. Monitoring audio levels, managing multiple cameras, and making sure the technology works seamlessly from start to finish.

Think of them as your safety net and your creative partner. If a mic cuts out, a camera freezes, or a guest drifts too close or too far from the microphone, your producer is there in real time to adjust and keep everything on track. They handle live switching between camera angles, so your finished podcast feels polished and dynamic without the headache of heavy post-production.

In short, a producer ensures you can stay fully present with your guests while knowing your podcast will come out looking and sounding professional. It’s one of those details that many people don’t realize they need — until they’ve tried recording without one.

  • Both 1080p and 4K are video resolutions. Essentially, how sharp and detailed your video looks. 1080p is “Full HD” and delivers quality that most people are familiar with from TVs, streaming, and online videos.

4K, however, takes it a step further. With four times the number of pixels, 4K captures richer detail, sharper text, and a more polished look — especially noticeable on larger screens or when repurposing clips for different platforms. It also helps future-proof your content, so it stays looking its best as viewing standards continue to rise.

1080p will give you a solid, professional result. But if you want your podcast to look its sharpest, stand out visually, and hold up long-term, 4K is the way to go.

  • Not at all. Whether it’s your first time behind a microphone or you’ve been podcasting for years, our team is here to guide you every step of the way. We handle the technical setup and recording in-studio, so you can focus on creating your content. All you need is your ideas and enthusiasm — we’ll take care of making your podcast sound and look professional.

  • Yes, you can include guests from anywhere in the world. We’ll bring them into your session remotely so it feels like they’re right there in the studio. Our team manages the connection, audio levels, and recording, ensuring your conversation sounds seamless and professional no matter where your guests are located.

  • Before booking your first session, there are a few key things you’ll need to have ready so we can set your podcast up:

    • Podcast Title – Every show needs a name to get started.

    • Hosting – Your podcast needs a place to live. If you choose a ROC Vox membership, we’ll set up your show on our professional hosting account and distribute it everywhere your audience listens — Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, and more. You’ll get collaborator credentials so you can log in, make updates, and view your analytics anytime. If you choose to host on your own, you’ll need to set up and manage all of those connections yourself, which can be confusing, time-consuming, and difficult to troubleshoot. Most clients find it easier to let us take care of it, so they can spend their time creating instead of dealing with technical roadblocks.

    • Profile Image (1400x1400) – This graphic represents your podcast everywhere it appears. If you don’t already have one, check out our prices for custom graphic design.

    • Podcast Description – A short summary that tells listeners what your show is about.

    • Category – Choosing the right category helps your podcast get discovered by the right audience.

Don’t worry if it feels like a lot — our team is here to guide you through the process and make sure everything is set up correctly from day one.
